Apleona UK on the right track with Siemens Mobility contract expansion

Facilities management specialist, Apleona, UK is thrilled to announce the expansion of its relationship with Siemens Mobility through two new contract awards. It is a relationship which has partnership and collaboration at its heart to create and operate as one team.

The partnership started in 2019 with the award of the ‘Technical and Managing Agent’ contract. This was to deliver services including mechanical & electrical engineering, fabric maintenance, reactive works, grounds maintenance, winterisation and projects across their UK portfolio. This has now been complemented by the award of a three-year extension contract to deliver cleaning and associated services.

Jacqui Paice, Apleona UK’s Managing Director says:

“These latest opportunities allow us to further strengthen our partnership with Siemens Mobility and are a direct result of building a strong relationship over the past three years. We have earned their trust and confidence in what we can deliver. Thanks to Regional Director, Rachel Broughton-Stronghill and her team whose hard work and collaborative approach have been critical to these contract achievements.”

James Thoden van Velzen, Apleona’s Chief Executive Officer, Northern & Western Europe, commented:

“Apleona UK is going from strength to strength and this latest news is just the beginning of what is looking to be a fantastic year for us. I am delighted to continue this journey with Siemens.”

Siemens Mobility has entrusted Apleona with the delivery of total facilities management services to their brand-new, state-of-the-art, 67-acre train manufacturing plant and supply chain rail village located in Goole.

Finbarr Dowling, Siemens Mobility Head of UK Localisation says:

“As we make progress at our new rail manufacturing facility at Goole, Apleona UK will be providing us with the vital support functions to keep things running smoothly on site. We look forward to working with the team.”

This contract – which started on 1st December 2022 – is taking a phased approach until the site is fully handed over in 2023. These services include mechanical & electrical engineering, security, cleaning, catering, as well as a fantastic opportunity for Apleona to introduce innovative in-house digital facility management solutions, drones and robotics.
