James Thoden van Velzen
Chief Executive Officer, Apleona Northern and Western Europe
James joined Apleona as the Chief Executive Officer for the UK and Ireland in April 2017 and assumed responsibility for all P&L and daily operations. With over 20 years in facilities management and a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, he brought a distinct skill set.
Prior to joining Apleona, James spent 7 years as CEO for SPIE UK, further enriching his leadership skills and strategic perspective.
In January 2021, James expanded his responsibilities by becoming the Deputy Head of the Apleona International Business Unit and a Member of the Apleona Group Management Board. In May 2022 James took on further responsibilities for the 6 countries within Western Region thus becoming the CEO for Northern and Western Europe.
Jacqui boasts more than 30 years’ experience of people management, having started her career in the catering industry. She joined the business in 2011 with a particular focus on a large shopping centre portfolio, before being promoted to Operations Director, followed by Managing Director for the UK FM business in spring 2019. In January 2022, Jacqui extended this role to include our Workspace division.
Managing Director, CTS
Bryan is an experienced director of facilities services with a demonstrated history of working in the mechanical or industrial engineering industry. He founded Combined Technical Solutions (CTS) in 1999 where he remains Managing Director.
Bryan is also a long-standing committee member of the Institute of Facilities Management (IWFM).

Fiona joined the Board in August 2021 having been with Apleona in various finance roles since June 2014. Prior to joining Apleona, Fiona
held finance leadership roles within industries including manufacturing and property.
Fiona is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). She leads a team of finance professionals who operate both
transactional and reporting support across the whole Northern Europe Region from their main base in Motherwell.
Fiona also has functional
responsibility for Legal, Insurance and IT.
