Our ‘One Apleona Hospitality Academy’ delivers bespoke training to our catering teams to live and breathe these standards, and we constantly evolve our service using customer feedback and mystery shopper programmes.
Our balanced food offering caters for clients’ individual needs, sourcing local, seasonal, and innovative ingredients while providing plant-based options on every site.
Our head chefs and managers are accredited by the British Nutrition Foundation and many sites support our ‘Go Plant Based’ initiative, where every high and medium carbon impact dish served has a plant-based alternative available.
We buy everything we can from social enterprises – from coffee, tea and water to disposable drinks cups, rice, and more. We only use Fairtrade bananas, chocolate, sugar, orange and apple juice, and organic pasta and flour in our kitchens.
To help you go further, we have sustainable catering commitments that reduce the environmental impact of our service, and increase its social value. Our ‘Give Food a Second Life’ scheme has helped reduce production and spoilage waste.
Every site is fitted with bespoke and innovative solutions that add value to each workplace canteen, such as pre-ordering apps, reusable cups and takeaway container initiatives.
Other services we can provide include on-site composting, self-checkouts and smart kitchen planning to reduce the utility resource required to deliver catering services.
